So what’s the deal with Smart cookery courses?

Because the founder of the Smart cookery school, Ann Hood, was once an amateur cook, she understands how your kitchen at home differs from a professional kitchen (something a lot of big name chefs have forgotten) and can skilfully tailor your learning to the needs of the home cook rather than the Michelin starred chef.

Your course can be either half a day, or a full day – and at going to press, you can also buy evening cookery courses to help you fit it in better with your busy work and life schedule.

And for that special occasion, a group of half a dozen friends can attend and watch or help (as you wish) while one of their top chefs prepares you a sumptuous meal to your exact specifications. You can have as much or as little input into the content and preparation of this as you wish, but you can be sure it will be a gastronomic experience to remember.

Look out for special offers on Smart cookery courses too – we’ll keep you right up to date on 2 for 1 experiences right here on this page. Now what could be better than that?

And if you’re stuck for original gift ideas for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions, then a Smart cookery course will make a fantastic gift and give the lucky recipient something of value to take away and use for evermore.

Or for that extra special occasion, go in a group and watch and participate as a mouthwatering feast is prepared especially for you right before your eyes.

The Smart way of learning to cook is ideal if you’re not into the Michelin/gastronome end of cookery, but simply want to learn the secrets of top class, mouthwatering meals that will be successful for you time after time after time.

Attended Kinfe Skills course in DEcember 2012. With a class of about 10. Fun to see Ann because I’m a bit of a Masterchef Groupie! But she’s so approachable and made tim for us all.

I’ve heard grumblings from friends who booked this course on Groupon, but then you’ll awlays be treated like a second class citizen then because Groupon take most of the money.

As it was, everyone was so friendsly and helpful (but in a professional way). And i learnt to cut assorted foods – veg, meat, There are many styles and fashions of cutting and now I use them all in my kitchen at home.

Next time I will book a course were we actually prepare meals. I’ve got my eye on the 3 course meal day.
